Very kind employees, they treated us very well and allowed my boyfriend to use their employee bathroom. The area is a bit sketchy but we felt comfortable inside the place. The tacos al pastor and a ham torta that we got were pretty good, not the best we've had, but definitely good. We got this plus two cokes and it ended up being only $17, which is a steal now a days. They also had a small area where you can get your own sauces, cilantro and onions and it was pretty great. If your in the area don't be afraid to stop on by.

I was really hyped up on this place because a couple of my Mexican coworkers raved. It's definitely inexpensive and the portions are pretty good for the price.
I got three tacos @$1.25 each - pollo, carne asada and carnitas. All the meats were fine, but chopped pretty small and over cooked. My friend got a carnitas torta and liked it. Also seemed like it took a while to be served, when hardly any other customers were there. Probably won't be back.
    CASH ONLY BE PREPARED :)

Small hole in the wall no frills taqueria with a good selection. I live nearby and get the tilapia burrito which is made to order and done very very well. This establishment is cash only so keep your cards in your pocket.

I've also had the tilapia plate with rice and asada tacos which was great. Also, the Birria de Chivo or goat stew is sold only on weekends as many Mexican cuisine restaurants do. For 9 dollars they are generous with big fatty pieces of goat which can be a little gamey if that's new to you. Great for a weekend breakfast after a night out.

This place deserves the business and is a what you see is what you get kind of joint. I've been here multiple times and the food and service is consistent. Parking only available on Washington with spaces in front typically available.

A solid, cheap taco joint. I can't complain when it's $1.25 a taco! In the world of LA tacos price points have gone up across the city but this place has stayed low.  But, a good taco deserves a higher price point but nothing beats your affordable tacos right down the street.

This is walking distance so when I am craving tacos it's a good thing this place is near by. They have your standards from asada to pollo you have options. They have a solid green salsa but also have pico de Gallo. All their salsas are free and they even have a little side table.

Service is fine; some people think they are mean but I genuinely think it's a cultural thing. I have had nothing but good service and smiles from these folks!  They are also fast so if you are really hungry you can't beat their speed.

Lastly, this place has a few tables but this is more of a to go place. They package it all nicely for you so don't worry. They even have To go salsa containers so you can get your fix.

As Midcity goes you can't beat this yummy and affordable stop!

First of all, been coming here for over almost 2 decades and consistently disappointed. Asada is more like gristle asada - no meat just fat and cartilage. I keep thinking this is a timing issue and so I give them yet another chance but don't bother because it is disgusting. Chicken looks good on the rotisserie but it is jacked up with a cleaver and comes with bones and cartilage. The quality of the chicken is also extremely poor and you can tell when you taste it.

The service is poor as others have mentioned and super slow.  I live close by and have gone thru the menu pretty extensively over the years hoping to find a gem or for something to change. I have to finally give up on my neighborhood taco shop. Sad but true. What they try and pass off as carne asada is shameful and I won't be back.
